After almost three years absence (Alpstein XII), the new Alpstein XV bottling is returning with the popular Pinot Noir finish. The first of many special bottlings in our 20th anniversary year.

THE ALPSTEIN SERIES (48% VOL.)
The cellars in which Säntis Malt matures can be found at the foot of the Alpstein. Every cask is an individual rarity full of character and is carefully selected by the master distiller. When it is first laid down in the oak beer casks seeped in history, the whisky obtains its award-winning quality. The finish follows in a bourbon, port, sherry, wine or other special cask The whisky is produced as a continuous, limited «Edition Alpstein».

Tasting Notes:

The Alpstein XV shows its brilliant amber color when poured into the glass. A typical Säntis Malt greets you in the nose. Distinctive flavors originating from the beer cask maturation, reminiscent of bright beer foam, framed by vanilla and toffee. The second smell reveals fruity notes of baked apple and pear. Soft vinousity, as well as a subtle scent of fresh rose petals expand the complex bouquet.

The first sip is very soft and vinous. Oak spice, apple pie and vanilla dominate the spectrum of aromas on the palate, while sweet spices and nuttiness complement it. The Alpstein XV is powerful on the palate, the finish seems to be eternal. Especially with a drop of water, the aromatics opens wide.
